A rivalry away from Jacksonville
The rivalry has been played in Jacksonville almost every year since 1933, apart from 1994 and 1995 when the old stadium was being rebuilt. Because EverBank Stadium is being renovated, the game moves to Atlanta this season and to Tampa in 2027, before returning to Jacksonville from 2028. It is the first time since 1995 that the game has been played outside Jacksonville, and the first time at a different neutral site since 1930.
What to watch
- Gunner Stockton: Georgia’s quarterback is the key piece in the Bulldogs’ attack, and his decisions against Florida’s pressure will shape the game.
- Florida’s quarterback situation: sophomore Tramell Jones Jr. stepped in for the injured starter and led a Week 7 win at Texas. He will face a far tougher defence this time.
- Turnovers and field position: Florida’s best route to an upset is a low-scoring game with short fields.
- Rest advantage: both teams had a bye, so injuries and fatigue should be less of a factor.

Prediction
This is a hard spot for Florida. Georgia has the stronger roster, the better record and a recent record of controlling this game, including a 43-20 win in 2023. Our lean is a comfortable Georgia win, though Florida’s offence has enough speed to keep the score closer than the line suggests if it protects the football.
